Bedroom or study debate rages as experts share tips about gauging property's size

Victorian water report highlights need for new sources as climate change hits supplies

 Most of Melbourne's water could come from desalinated and recycled water by later this century, a Victorian government report says. It projects up to 80 per cent of Melbourne's water could come from manufactured sources by 2070, up from 35 per cent in 2020. Water would be used in homes for non-drinking purposes. The report, released last week, said manufactured water would also be used in regional homes. The Central and Gippsland Region Sustainable Water Strategy outlines the government's plans to respond to increased demand for water. Skyportz lays groundwork for a national vertiport network to host a 'green' transport revolution

 With the rise of passenger drones gaining momentum globally as some of the biggest aviation companies join start-ups to create the first commercially viable electlric vertical take-off and landing (eVTOL) vehicle, an Australian company has been working behind the scenes to lay the groundwork for a network of ‘vertiports’ to accommodate what is expected to be a personal transport revolution. Skyportz, a company founded and led by Clem Newton-Brown, earlier this month revealed the design for the first vertiport in Australia to service the emerging electric air taxi industry, identifying Caribbean Park, an office precinct located in Melbourne’s east, as one of the frontrunners in the new race to conquer the skies.
