 Hi all, Bookkeeping is an integral part of every business and as an entrepreneur I understand this perfectly. However, I did not have this clear understanding when I started my small business. I thought that I could take care of the finances and the reporting myself. However, in just three months, I was struggling to keep track of the invoices and the bills that needed to be paid. Melbourne Cup favourite Incentivise hit with weight penalty ahead of November 2 race

 Incentivise has been asked to carry an extra 1.5 kilograms in his bid to complete the Caulfield Cup-Melbourne Cup double.  A boom horse of Australian racing, Incentivise has been re-handicapped to 57kg for the $8 million Melbourne Cup at Flemington on November 2. The penalty comes after Incentivise made it nine wins in a row when he trounced his Caulfield Cup rivals on Saturday. Entertainment 'vanishes' from Melbourne's reopening plan in crushing blow for industry

 When the owner of Melbourne's Comedy Republic saw entertainment venues would be allowed to reopen from this Friday, he did not waste any time booking gigs. Kyran Wheatley organised and sold out eight shows for this weekend – now they will all have to be cancelled because the word "entertainment" has disappeared from the road map. Banyule Mayor used taxpayer funds to reward community group for factional work, IBAC hears

 A corruption inquiry has heard the Mayor of a Melbourne council successfully lobbied for state government grants to be given to a community group to reward factional work, with the leader then pocketing significant portions of the taxpayer funds. IBAC is investigating the misuse of taxpayer money and community grants in the Victorian branch of the ALP.
